Kipp's Apparatus – Soda Glass is a laboratory gas-generation apparatus manufactured from soda glass and designed for producing gases through controlled chemical reactions between a solid material and a suitable liquid reagent.
The apparatus consists of interconnected glass chambers that allow the reaction to be controlled by regulating the contact between the liquid reagent and the solid reactant. When the gas outlet is closed, pressure builds within the apparatus and reduces the contact between the reactants, helping to stop gas generation. Opening the outlet allows the reaction to resume.
It is suitable for educational demonstrations and laboratory preparation of gases where controlled gas generation is required.
